Claim for delay shipment
DETAILS :
A vessel to Italy had been delayed for almost two months. The forwarding agent just informed about the machinery failure of the vessel. Our products are all seasonal goods. My customers just cancelled all the orders and reject L/C (owing to such discrepancy) and I have to return all containers back to factory in China. I would like to know: 1) Who can I make claim to? 2) What kind of documents needed if I send back all products to China factory? I had lost much money and paying tax is unacceptable. 3) How can I avoid the loss in shipment delay? Is there any insurance covered?
